We typically celebrate the first day of school with photos of our children holding a sign. Why not celebrate the last day too with a Last Day of School sign? It’s fun to look back and compare how much our kids have grown in just one school year. I hope you love these Free Last Day of School Signs for 2026!
For years we have used a small (old) chalkboard and I handwrite everything, which is not very pretty. I wish that I created these last-day-of-school signs years ago because these are so much better than my old chalkboard. I wanted to make something simple but colorful so I added some colorful pencils along the bottom.
I’ve created first day of school signs and matching last day of school signs for several years. I always include all grades (Pre-K – 12th Grade). I’ve also included a few different options for Preschool and Pre-K since both terms are used.
I would recommend printing these on cardstock or printing it out and putting it into a lightweight frame like this one.
Last Day of Preschool Signs
Below are 3 different last-day of preschool signs you will receive in your file. Because some schools call it preschool and others call it Pre-K I thought I would offer a few different options.

Below are 2 different Kindergarten last-day-of-school signs you will get in your file. I thought some might like the larger font – even if it’s on two lines.

You will receive every grade up to 12th grade.
Printable Last Day of School Signs for High School Students
I’ve included signs for high schoolers. I included 4 signs with “Freshman, Sophomore, Junior, and Senior” on them… because there is nothing more fun than making your teenagers take these silly Last Day of School photos too.
