TIPS FOR A GREAT SUMMER
Tips to help you use this workbook and plan a great summer.
DAILY PLANNING PAGE
I’ve included my daily time blocking planner page for you to use to plan out your days this summer. Creating a daily plan is crucial to staying on top of important tasks and scheduled events. Taking even 5 minutes each morning will help you to clear your mind and be more prepared for the day.
OUR SUMMERTIME SCHEDULE
This page is great if you have multiple kids who are all doing different activities all summer. This page has 5 columns that you can label with each child’s name. You can also use this to create a blocked schedule for your kids this summer, you can see the sample page to see how I’ve done this in the past.
This page includes 3 months, June, July, and August so you can see the entire summer on one page. I like to use this page to track any BIG plans or travel we have for the summer. You may want to use this plan to plan out a whole month of daily fun activities too!
MONTHLY BLANK CALENDAR
You might prefer this calendar-on-one page instead. This calendar gives you a little more space to write and fill in your family’s plans.
WEEKLY PLANNING PAGE – WEEK-ON-ONE-PAGE
Use this weekly planning page to plan out the details for your week. You can add times if you’d like to customize this page.
WEEKLY PLANNING PAGE – WEEK-ON-TWO-PAGES
If you need more room to write this two-page weekly template gives you wider columns for each day.
OUR FAMILY’S WEEK
This is a more simple weekly planning page. This page is great to use so the whole family can see what’s planned for the week. I’ve also included meals so your kids don’t have to continually ask, what’s for dinner.
SUMMER BRAINSTORM PAGE
I’m a huge fan of doing a thorough brain dump before starting any project and the same is true for planning your summer. Take 10 minutes with my Brainstorm page and do a brain dump. Write down all of your events, hopes, ideas, and plans for the summer.
Giving yourself this time to really think through everything will prepare you to move ahead creating plans for the summer without forgetting anything important.
DAILY ROUTINE PAGE
Customize this sheet for each of your children (or yourself) to create a simple daily routine.
