Enjoy your favorite campfire treat with these easy to make S’mores Cupcakes. We made these and sent them to school for a birthday treat last year and they have been a fun addition to our summer BBQ’s.

S’mores Cupcakes for a Birthday Treat

This year, our daughter turned 9 years old! Because this was her first year at a school in the States, she was excited to finally have the opportunity to bring a birthday treat to her class. After much deliberation, she finally chose S’mores cupcakes. What a fun choice! These pretty cupcakes were simple to create! We were able to whip them up in no time!

I love how simple this cupcake recipe is and the final product is super cute!

  • 1 box cake mix (pick your flavor, we chose vanilla)
  • 1 can of chocolate or whipped marshmallow chocolate frosting (we used Pillsbury Whipped Fluffy Frost)
  • 1 bag of mini marshmallows
  • 1 box graham crackers
  • 1 bar of Hershey's chocolate

Bake the cupcakes according to the instructions on the box.

Allow to cool completely.

Break up chocolate bar and graham crackers into mini pieces. Each chocolate bar should break up into 12 pieces and each graham cracker can be broken into 4 smaller crackers.

Frost the cupcakes:

I used a disposable pastry bag and extra large cupcake decorating tip to frost each cupcake. If you don't have these supplies a simple ziplock baggie with the corner cut will give you a nice look too!

Decorate the Cupcakes:

Top each cupcake with a few mini marshmallows, one "mini" chocolate bar and a "mini" graham cracker.
