Every year I share a post with some of my favorite things. This year’s list includes lots of practical things that have made my life easier and items I now use every day. I’m also sharing the gifts that were given at this year’s favorite things party.

Candle Melting Lamp
I’m sure you’re tired of me talking about this lamp. I’ve suggested it as a gift for moms, grandparents, and teens. It really is super handy. Because you’re not lighting a candle it is safer but still puts out a lot of scent in your home. It is also so much cleaner with no soot.
Lifeproof Ceramic Coating Spray
This is one of those products that seem unnecessary but is truly helpful! It can be used on many different surfaces in your home to create a protective coating to help prevent fingerprints, stains, water marks, and more! You can use it on stainless steel, granite, laminate, marble, glass, metal, tile, and more! It also gives your surfaces a nice shine.
The first place I tested it was on our stainless steel fridge. The handles and front of the fridge were always covered with fingerprints; it drove me crazy! The spray has prevented fingerprints and made it super easy to quickly wipe away any marks.
Laundry Detergent for Hard Water
We’ve had trouble with hard water making our bath towels rough and looking dingy. I finally found a solution! This is a natural detergent that is made specifically for hard water. It helps prevent buildup and is safe if you have sensitive skin.
Corner Shower Caddy
We replaced our older shower caddy and I am loving the new one so much more! Our older shower caddy only had 3 shelves and nowhere to keep our shower poufs and wash clothes. Our new shower caddy fits in the corner using a tension rod. It keeps everything in one place, has 4 shelves with plenty of room for everyone’s items, and has hooks for poufs and washcloths.
Disposable Face Towels
Like most parents of teens, we have children who use acne face wash or products with Benzoyl Peroxide and other chemicals that have stained our towels. I found these disposable face towels that are soft and biodegradable. Our kids use them to dry their faces after washing them and it has saved our towels. I also use them to remove my makeup. They’ve been a great find this year!
White Noise Machine
I bought this noise machine for when I travel to help me sleep. It has several different sounds and a 90 minute timer which is nice. I’ve also started to use this at home and it has been a huge help to drown out some unpleasant noises… Let’s just say it’s much nicer to listen to white noise than snoring when you’re trying to fall asleep.
Fuzzy Lined Crocs
I bought these several months ago and use them every day. They were recommended by my podiatrist (yes, I guess I’m that old now!), he recommended that I wear them in the house instead of walking around barefoot. I like them so much my husband bought himself a pair to use as slippers.
Favorite Things Gift Exchange – Gifts We Shared
Last year I shared about our annual Favorite Things gift exchange. This year we went a step further and instead of bringing just one item we picked a favorite item and brought 4, so each person in the group would receive one favorite item from each person in the group. It was so much fun and I highly recommend trying this with your friends. Below are the items that each person shared this year.
A Snackle Box full of fun Christmas Candies
This gift was from me and I had so much fun putting it together. These snackle boxes are actually really handy. They are great for making portable charcuterie box, travel snack box, or use them for every day treats. I like to cut up veggies, meats, and cheese and keep them in this so I can just grab a quick snack each day.
A Beautiful Pitcher
This beautiful amber pitcher was from Kendra. It’s perfect for entertaining and I didn’t have anything like it so it was a great fit for me!
Tulip Bulbs
Emily gifted each of us a bag of tulip bulbs, I loved this gift. It’s truly a thoughtful gift that we can all enjoy when spring arrives.
A Table Top Fire Pit Bowl
Sarah gave each of us one of these fun mini fire pit bowls that only take rubbing alcohol to create a flame that you can use for roasting marshmallows or just to add a touch of ambiance.
Bread Dipping Herbs and a set of little Dipping Bowls
My friend Rebekah gave us each this set of dipping herbs and little dipping bowls. These will add a fun touch to our family dinners.
