First Official Day of Homeschool – 2012

Sharing is caring!

Finally I felt “ready enough” to start school.  Funny how we over-think things and feel like everything has to be perfect to start.  Tuesday morning I was up right at 6 getting our special breakfast made and preparing for our first day.

After the kids ate their pile of pancakes we got dressed and I whipped out the camera for some “First Day” pictures!

Over all our day was great, and FAST!  We did school for about 1 1/2 hours.  It seemed short but I knew that we got through all of our curriculum for today so I felt great.  In the afternoon Claire will be working on math and handwriting.  We’ll be using Math-U-See and Handwriting without tears. I think it will be good for her to break up the school day, but we’re flexible so our schedule can change depending on what works best for her.

Have you started school?  Did you put your children on the bus for the first time?  Mamas how are you coping with this new school year?

    1) What did you put in your pancakes? It looks like nerds candy! 🙂

    2) I love that last picture of Claire. You can see her missing tooth on the bottom. LOVE IT!

This is where MFW families connect weekly, or as often as you like, to share what we are doing in our schools. The first one is September 8, the info is on my blog. I hope you join us!

ps: I hope you have a wonderful year!
