Fall Decor | Our Farmhouse Shelves

Sharing is caring!

October is here and the open shelving in our kitchen was in need of an update for Fall. Our Farmhouse shelves are one of my favorite places to decorate, and this year I kept my fall decor simple but still used some of my favorite items to make a little fall vignette that I love!

We have loved our DIY Farmhouse shelves they are perfect for our small kitchen. The open shelving added extra storage and gave me a space in our kitchen to add a cozy touch with some seasonal decor.

I like to try to simplify things by using things I already own. Many of the items I grabbed from other spaces in the house but the feature of these shelves has to be the gorgeous velvet pumpkins from LoveFeast Shop. I have a pretty nice collection of these beauties but I decided to stick to the white pumpkins for the top shelf and add in a single teal pumpkin.

Decorate With Items You Already Have

I grabbed other items from around the house. A wooden candlestick , my favorite wine cask tray, two glass pitchers that I got at Goodwill last year, a tea bowl that I bought in Kilkenny, Ireland and some wooden spoons. I tried using 3 cookbooks on the bottom shelf and turned them around so the pages showed, but I decided to take them away and keep it simple.

The faux wheat and fall foliage from Hobby Lobby, as well as the plate with pumpkins on it. I found the Gold bowls at Ross’s . Later I added some wooden beads on the bottom shelf as well, those were purchased at a cute shop in Lancaster, PA.

Fall Inspired Coffee Bar Area

Under the shelves we have a rolling island that we use as our coffee bar. I made several changes here as well.

I moved the coffee makers around and added a cake stand. This is one of my favorite ways to add some interest when I’m decorating. On top of the cake pan I have our coffee jar (From Target), our sugar bowl, and a small vase with some faux flowers. The ceramic pumpkin actually opens up and I store our Nespresso capsules in it. I love hiding things we use daily in pretty but practical ways.

I hope you are inspired to create a cozy fall space in your home. This year we all need a little extra comfort and these little touches can make a big difference.
