HOW TO KEEP THE COLOR PATTERN WHEN CHANGING LETTERS
Colors need to be updated one letter at a time. Click on the first letter of the name in the template, then type your new letter right over it — this keeps that letter’s color in place.
Select the individual letter you want to change in the template and type your letter. This should maintain the color of the original letter. Move on to the next letter and repeat. You can also just type the name in and change the color of each letter to any color you’d like.
The colors are already loaded into your Canva color palette, so there’s no need to match shades manually.
Got a longer name than the template shows? No problem — just start the color pattern over again from the beginning.
