Introducing: The Oaks Worship newest CD, Lift Up the Light and a Giveaway!

Today I’m super excited to introduce a new album – NOW Available on ITUNES!

The Oaks Worship’s newest Album Lift Up the Light

It seems that music and worship is a theme this week. I love it! When I was asked to review their CD I jumped at the opportunity! If I could spend all day listening to and reviewing worship music I’d be overjoyed.

First a little introduction:

From their Facebook page:

Oaks Worship is a group of worship pastors and musicians that all work/volunteer at The Oaks. The leaders on our team have traveled the country and lead at many different youth events/conventions and that is our heart. We want to help young people get on fire for Jesus through worship. We are not out to be rock stars, but to lead a life of true worship on and off the stage. We don’t lead hype worship, but energetic spirit driven worship.

I love that… “We don’t lead hype worship, but energetic spirit driven worship

This could very easily turn in to a book rather than just a review. This album was given to me in at the perfect time. The evening that I sat in Starbucks listening to the album for the first time, God answered a 17 year old prayer. It was amazing. This CD will forever mean so much to me. The songs not only move me to worship but they moved me to repentance and praise. What a wonderful collection of powerful worship.

Why I love it….

When I first saw the tweet from @ShaneandShane about the CD and the opportunity to review the CD I was thrilled. Shane and Shane have been “with me” through so many great times in my life. Working at a summer camp and traveling the world with YWAM. Shane and Shane’s worship CD’s have a special place in my heart. Music is like that, it sticks around, it leaves a mark on your heart. This album is no different.

Just a few lines from the CD that I love:

“Wonderful God, love beyond meaure, Merciful Lord, making us your treasure; oh we love oh we love who you are! ” We Love Who You Are

“I want your blessing poured out upon me, but more than anything I want your presence.”  Bethany Dillon, I want your presence

“Jesus, Jesus, Jesus” (because who doesn’t love just praising his name… JESUS! ) Shane Bernard and Shane Everett, With One Word

“Your love is deep, Your love is wide, your love has breathed in me new life…” David Belt, Forever

“You are worthy of affection, you’re the radiance of all of His glory, let adoration fill this place. You hold everything together, by the word of your immovable power, we sing a song of praise!!!!!” Worthy of Affection

This is an exerpt I wrote in an e-mail to Kirk form Oaks Worship:

“Thank you for this powerful cd. I’m literally sitting in Starbucks right now moved to tears (Worthy of Affection) while thinking and praying for our friends son (4 years old) who is battling cancer and very sick tonight with RSV. His parents are terrified and this song is just perfect in a time like this – Praising HIM! Regardless of the situation!”

That truly sums it up. For me worship music moves me, it plugs me in to God directly! This CD is amazing, it’s a “must have”!

I’m so thrilled today to be able to offer one of my reader a digital copy of Lift Up the Light!

Oh… Donna… another worship giveaway… LOVE it. I’m thankful for sunshine. I could say so many things and clearly my relationship with the Lord, my amazing husband, and my son whom I adore would top the list, but today, I am thankful for sunshine. After a LONG winter. I’m waiting for those warmer temperatures… (Pick me, OK?)

Thankful that my daughter daily requests “the two men singing Your Love Gives the Victory song.” (The rough new song on the Shane & Shane site.) 🙂

Today I’m very thankful that my youngest daughter (she’s 2 1/2) didn’t put up a fight at bedtime and actually asked to go to bed early. She’s gone to bed late 3 or 4 days in a row and has been TERRIBLY cranky. I’m thankful for plenty of alone time to regroup … and hoping she’ll be in a better mood tomorrow.

I’m also very thankful that it seems as if the depression I was fighting is finally past. I haven’t had a down day in a couple of weeks now. Praise God!

You are so right on! “We Love Who You Are” by Oaks Worship is great. I’m playing the song to begin our small group meeting this evening. The longer I listen to it, the more I realize how awesome is our God.
