Twas the Week Before Christmas

Not a thing was ready. Not even my house!

That’s how I feel. So much I want to do and so little time. I came into this Christmas with BIG PLANS to be super ready for Christmas. A funny thing happened, I got busy. Things fell through the cracks and for the most part, I’m ok with that. Our home is minimally decorated, Christmas gifts have just started to be purchased and Christmas cards are sitting in the mail box as I write this. This week for most of us is crunch time!

Mostly I’ll be cleaning and baking this week (and wrapping gifts!).

I’ll be busy baking most of the week. My plan is to mix up all of the dough on Sunday night and bake throughout the week. All of these goodies are for family and friends. We also always send mini-loaves of bread to my hubby’s job for everyone to enjoy.

Peanut butter blossoms
Oatmeal chocolate chip pecan cookies
Russian Teacakes
Jam Thumbprint cookies (or “toe jams” in our house – my brother once dropped one and stepped on it leaving a big toe mark… long story)
Chocolate covered Peanut butter Ritz sandwich cookies (what ARE these called?)
Puppy Chow (Reindeer treats)
Peppermint Bark
Chocolate Chip cookies
Snickerdoodles
Banana Bread
Cranberry Bread
Pumpkin Bread

What’s on your To-Do list? Do you have a plan?

I’d love to hear what you have on your list this week and how you plan on tackling it all. I could use all the advice you could offer!
