I had big plans for this week. I have 3 more posts that I’m working on to follow up on my 2010 Goals. Unfortunately my PC had a little run in with a cup of coffee, my adorable 1 1/2 year old played a part in the drama as well. As I dried up my laptop, praying that it might, by some miracle be ok, I had to laugh – This couldn’t be happening. But it did. Nothing I could do would bring my laptop back to life. The motherboard was fried!
My sweet husband called to tell me that we were going to head to the Apple store and pick out a Mac. That instantly turned my day around. We don’t need to be spending money on a new computer right now, but honestly I have not idea how I’d get by without a computer. I do everything online and even store recipes on the computer.
YES, I could have ABSOLUTLY lived without the computer if I had to. A computer is not a necessesity, it is a luxery, and I am thankful that we could run out and replace it. We originally wanted and I think Kevin didn’t want us to put anymore money into a PC.
So now I’m sitting here learning all about this new, wonderful computer and I’m falling in love! The simplicity that the Mac offers is what I’m loving. It’s great. I’m still not sure how to get all the info off my old computer and honestly I’m not sure that I need all that stuff. This is a great opportunity to start fresh. Less files = less clutter = less stress. I hope to continue my little series on my 2010 goals next week. I’m heading to a womans retreat this weekend, and I’m really looking forward to an entire weekend of worship, prayer and time with friends. I need to “unplug” and this is a great way to focus on what’s really important! I hope to return on Monday refreshed with a better vision for my role as a wife, a mom and a christian woman.
So Stay tuned! In the meantime. I’d love any tips you might have for this new MacBook owner! Leave a comment! I have a lot to learn!
