Our kids have shared a room since Caleb was about 8 months old. They’ve done great, but lately Claire wakes up Caleb and Caleb wakes up Claire… it’s just not working anymore. So once our Christmas guests went back home we said goodbye to the guestroom and moved Caleb’s crib in.
Both kids received new bedding from their Grandpa I picked out these two sets from Target:
I’ve always loved this girls bedding and I was so excited to finally get it for Claire. I love that the boys bedding has a nice plaid pattern on the reverse side so there is some variety.
So here’s the before shot:
Disclaimer: Please ignore the disaster -especially the HEAP of stuff in the crib – I took this picture before last year’s Spring Cleaning Party (and Caleb wasn’t sleeping in his crib yet ) 🙂
Here is the after picture of Claire’s new room:
The wall decals that you can get to match this set were great. Lots and lots of decals for less than $20!
She just loved it!
Here’s Caleb’s new room:
(sorry no before picture)
I used a set of Melissa and Doug toys that we had to decorate his shelves. I love how it turned out. The wall decals were great too.
Since we moved the kids into their own rooms, they have been sleeping much better and Claire’s attitude has been so much better.
I’m submitting this to DIY day where you’ll end up spending most of your day clicking on all of the great links! (you’ve been warned!) I know this isn’t necessarily a true DO IT YOURSELF project but we did open the bags, move the furniture and put up the decals… so I’m going to count it!
